District Board of Directors

 


Josephine Soil and Water is not a part of the County but rather that of the State. Directors are elected by voters during general election years. Working as volunteers and supported by staff and associate directors, they hold their positions up to four years and work many hours with local, state and the federal government to help provide services to the residents living within its boundaries.

Zone 1 – Wayne McKay. Native of the area, Wayne has many years managing a 125+ acre farm, using some of those acres for successful USDA crop experiments in the 1990’s.

Zone 3 – Stan Wolfe, Chair. Stan resides near Grants Pass and manages his property for horses. He comes to the board with over 30 years of organizational and water resources management experience.

Zone 4 –Larry Ford. Also a native to the area Larry brings many years of management experience in the logging industry to the board.

Zone 5 – Richard Lewman, Vice-Chair. A native of the area, Richard followed in his fathers footsteps with participation on the board. He has managed a 120+ acre family ranch in the Williams area.

At-large 1 – Robbin Reynolds, Secretary-Treasurer. Rob, a long time resident of the Wilderville area has served many years on various agricultural boards with many years in farming, business and business development.

At-large 2 – Barbara Finch. A resident of Murphy, Barbara brings 30 years of farming experience to the Board. Noted giant pumpkin grower, Barbara is also an educator for OSU extension Master Gardener program.

Associate Director – Gerald Baczkowski. Gerry recently joined the district out of interest in conservation and in government. A native of Illinois, a Navy veteran, educated & highly experienced in comnmunications and management. He provides additional expertise to this district
